Boasy: This word means you’re acting arrogant, cocky, or showing off in a way that might be a little too much. If a guy walks into a party with designer clothes, flashing a bunch of cash, and acting like he’s better than everyone else, people are going to call him boasy behind his back. It can sometimes be used as a compliment if a girl is looking really confident and fierce, but mostly it has a negative connotation. It’s basically the Jamaican version of being “full of yourself,” and people will definitely call you out if you’re acting too boasy.
