Dead wid laugh (DWL): This is the equivalent of our “LMAO,” “dying laughing,” or “I’m dead.” When something is so funny that you literally can’t breathe, you type DWL in the group chat. You’ll see it all over Jamaican TikTok and Twitter. If someone sends a meme that is absolutely hilarious, the only acceptable response is “DWL.” It’s way better than just typing “haha” because it actually shows how hard the joke hit you. It’s just a quick, easy way to express that you are losing your mind laughing at whatever was just said.
