Easy: You know how we say “take it easy” when we’re saying goodbye to someone? In Jamaica, they just shorten it to a quick “easy.” If you’re leaving a store or walking away from a conversation, you just nod and say “easy.” It means “calm down,” “take care,” or “see you later.” It’s the most low-effort, chill way to end an interaction. I love using it because it doesn’t require any extra energy, but it still leaves things on a positive, friendly note. It’s basically the cool kid’s way of saying goodbye.
