I don’t want to get married again

Then honestly, just don’t do it! Society puts so much pressure on people, especially women, to get hitched and have the white picket fence, but marriage is literally just a piece of paper. If you’ve already been through it once and realized it’s not your vibe, there is absolutely no rule saying you have to do it again. You are allowed to just be happy with where you’re at.

You probably learned a ton about yourself from your first marriage, and if one of those lessons is “I hate being a wife,” then consider that a huge win. Some people are just meant to be long-term partners without the legal baggage. You can have all the love, companionship, and commitment you want without ever having to deal with the headache of a wedding or a divorce ever again.

People are definitely going to ask you annoying questions and give you unsolicited advice about how you’ll “change your mind,” but who cares? They don’t have to live your life. You don’t owe anyone an explanation for your choices. As long as you are upfront with the people you date so nobody gets misled, you are totally in the clear.

Just live your best life on your own terms. If you want to stay single forever, do that. If you want a boyfriend but no ring, do that. Don’t let other people’s expectations make you trap yourself in a situation you know will make you miserable. Own your choice and be unapologetic about it.
