Death Gavan’s appearance creates one of the clearest unanswered questions surrounding the Gavan mythos. Reiji encounters him during the Kiki and Koto incident, fights him, and the confrontation ends after a mysterious Emorgy explosion allows Death Gavan to escape.

The obvious mystery is who Death Gavan actually is and what relationship he has to the other Gavans. Is he simply an evil counterpart, a corrupted Space Sheriff, a former ally, or something created specifically to oppose Gavan Infinity? His name strongly suggests a connection that goes deeper than an ordinary enemy.
