Dyna Robo is the principal robot of Kagaku Sentai Dynaman, released in 1983. It combines the team’s Dyna Machines into a powerful humanoid robot whose design reflects the season’s science and invention themes. Dyna Robo has a relatively streamlined appearance compared with some earlier robots, while still retaining the colorful armor and large helmet associated with Super Sentai mecha. Its weaponry includes the Dyna Sword, which allows it to finish giant enemies with powerful slashing attacks. The robot is a strong example of the increasingly sophisticated vehicle-combination system that was becoming standard during the early 1980s.
