The Gouraigers, Kabuto Raiger and Kuwaga Raiger, came from another ninja school and had a very different relationship with the Hurricanegers.

Rather than immediately joining forces, the two groups competed against each other. Their rivalry created another layer of conflict beyond the villain organization.

The Gouraigers were also more serious and aggressive than the younger Hurricanegers. Their personal history gave them a strong emotional reason to distrust the other team.

Eventually, the circumstances surrounding their enemies forced the groups to cooperate.

That transition from rivals to allies became one of Hurricaneger’s strongest character developments and continued the Super Sentai tradition of turning former enemies into trusted teammates.
