Denji Sentai Megaranger was heavily influenced by the rise of computers, digital technology, and electronic communication.

The Rangers’ powers and equipment reflected a world that was becoming increasingly dependent on technology.

The team members were also high-school students, which made the digital theme feel connected to the younger generation.

This was especially appropriate for the late 1990s, when personal computers and the early internet were becoming increasingly important in everyday life.

Megaranger therefore serves as a kind of time capsule of how the late 1990s imagined the technological future.
