J.A.K.Q. originally operated with four primary members connected to the playing-card theme.

Later, Big One joined the team and became one of the most important characters in the series.

Big One was played by Hiroshi Miyauchi, an actor who would become closely associated with tokusatsu heroes.

His addition helped demonstrate that Super Sentai teams didn’t necessarily have to remain fixed from beginning to end.

The idea of adding a powerful new hero would become extremely important in later series. Sixth Rangers, extra Rangers, rival Rangers, and temporary Rangers eventually became major parts of the franchise.

Big One can therefore be viewed as an important early step toward one of Super Sentai’s most famous traditions.
