The season closes with another unusual threat when an oyster themed monster becomes part of Rita’s latest attack on Angel Grove. The Rangers must once again deal with a creature that turns an ordinary part of the natural world into a dangerous enemy. As the team confronts the monster, their experience from the many battles of the season becomes increasingly important. The Rangers have grown considerably since their first encounter with Rita, and their teamwork, confidence and command of their powers are stronger than ever. The adventure provides another colorful monster battle while continuing the original team’s journey as Earth’s defenders.

Note on dates: I used the original U.S. broadcast order rather than production order. Some online databases differ, particularly because Food Fight was used as an early Saturday broadcast and some episodes were later rebroadcast in weekday slots. The episode guide I checked lists Season 1 as 60 episodes running from August 28, 1993 through May 23, 1994.
