Senpuujin is the principal robot of Ninpu Sentai Hurricaneger, released in 2002. It is formed from the Hurricaneger’s three Shinobi Machines and reflects the season’s combination of ninja traditions and futuristic machinery. Senpuujin has a streamlined, highly mobile appearance suited to the Hurricanegers’ emphasis on speed and agility. Its weapons include the Senpuu Sword, while its various combinations with auxiliary mecha expand its capabilities. The robot is particularly representative of the franchise’s early-2000s trend toward highly customizable combination systems.
