Reiji’s position in the Archives Division is one of the more unusual elements of his character. Rather than beginning as the most respected investigator in the Galaxy Federal Police, he is placed in a department that other officers apparently do not take seriously. Yet his work eventually connects him directly to enormous multiversal threats.

That creates an intriguing question about whether the Archives Division is actually more important than people realize. Perhaps its records contain information about previous Emorgear incidents, alternate universes, forgotten Space Sheriffs, or historical events that the main investigative departments have overlooked. Reiji’s assignment may therefore have placed him in exactly the right position to uncover something hidden.
