Not every mysterious character has to be an enemy. One of the more interesting possibilities is that an apparently helpful ally may be withholding important information from MY-TH.

An ally could know the truth about the Rider’s origins, the transformation system, or the enemies but deliberately refuse to reveal everything. The mystery would then become whether that secrecy is meant to protect MY-TH or manipulate the Rider.
