Ninpuu Sentai Hurricaneger was another major ninja-themed Super Sentai series, following the earlier Kakuranger approach.

Instead of presenting ninjas only through historical imagery, Hurricaneger combined ninja training with modern technology and futuristic weapons.

The three original heroes were students at a ninja academy, giving the series a strong training-school concept.

The later arrival of the Gouraigers expanded the story by introducing rival ninja warriors.

This made Hurricaneger feel like a modern ninja adventure while still respecting the long-running Super Sentai tradition of color-coded teams and giant robots.
