Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger became historically significant outside Japan because its footage was adapted into Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.

The Japanese actors and original storyline were not simply transferred directly into the American series. Instead, American production created new civilian scenes around the Japanese action footage.

That meant the original Zyuranger story could remain very different from the story American viewers knew.

The Japanese team had its own mythology involving ancient warriors, the Witch Bandora, and the Guardian Beasts.

This made Zyuranger one of the most internationally important Super Sentai productions ever made, because it became the gateway through which millions of people discovered the broader Japanese franchise.
