One of the original members, Vul Eagle, was replaced during the series.

This was an important development because it showed that a Ranger identity could survive even if the actor playing that character changed.

Later Super Sentai series would use Ranger replacements much more frequently.

Sometimes a replacement would inherit exactly the same costume and powers.

Other times, a new character would take over an existing role while bringing a completely different personality to the team.
