Tall Tales: Slangs: Tanya
Joke ting: This is the perfect way to deflate a situation that is getting too serious or dramatic. It means “this is a joke” or “don’t take this seriously.” If someone starts getting mad at you over a sarcastic comment you made, you’d throw your hands up and say “relax, it’s a joke ting!” It’s a defense mechanism to show that your intentions weren’t malicious. It basically tells the other person to stop being so sensitive because you’re just playing around.
