Tun up: This is the exact same concept as our “turn up,” just said with the accent. It means to get extremely hyped, raise the energy levels in the room, or just go crazy. If the DJ plays a song that everyone knows, the whole crowd is going to tun up. You can also use it as a command, like if the party is dead and you want people to start dancing, you’d yell “tun up!” It’s the ultimate phrase for when the vibe shifts from boring to absolutely lit, and it’s a staple at any good Caribbean party.
