Ting: This is just the word “thing” said with the accent, dropping the ‘h’ sound, but it has a million different uses in slang. Literally, it can mean an object, like “pass me dat ting.” But it’s also heavily used to refer to a girl, usually in a complimentary way. If a guy sees a really attractive girl walking by, he might nudge his friend and say “look at dat ting right there.” It’s a bit objectifying in that context, so you have to be careful with it, but among friends, it’s just a very common, casual way to point someone out.
