Heads up: Many are raw, objectifying, or straight-up disrespectful if said to the wrong woman. Dancehall allows language you’d never use at work. This is for cultural/linguistic info, not a pickup manual.

“Empress” = queen, but in dancehall it means a hot, regal woman with sex appeal. “Yuh a real empress” = “You’re a total queen/baddie”. Sounds respectful because of Rastafari roots, but in songs it’s usually about her body and how she moves. Buju Banton, Sizzla use it. Can be genuine admiration or just horny.
